I’ve met some amazing people through photography. Lovely, kind, interesting, exciting people. Some have been billionaires and some homeless and living in a hole in the ground by a railway station. Rich and poor alike, they’ve enriched life for Jayne and I in one way or another. And it’s disturbing to think that if we didn’t do photography and film making we wouldn’t have met them.
I’m realising how this ‘network’ can expand almost exponentially when photography is combined with the web. Last night I was sitting in my office, tired to the bone after working two fifteen hour days in a row, worrying about all sorts of things and feeling sorry for myself, when the phone rang. A soft spoken guy introduced himself as Terry and hoped he wasn’t interrupting.
Terry is a photographer and web designer and he just called to say he’d discovered it was possible to access our downloadable photography courses then download them without paying! He talked me through the process so I could see for myself, told me how to fix it (I do all our web stuff and believe me – I’m no expert!), then this morning he emailed me a bunch of good stuff to help me with the site! What a lovely guy.
Thank you Terry (www.RedTed.co.uk)
PS: And thank you to all of you lovely people out there who’ve taken the trouble to send in an email to say hi or a testimonial about our photography courses (check out Digital Photography Exposed there’s loads)
Best wishes to all…
Mike

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackHi Mike - great site! Definitely interested in some 1 to 1 days and will call you during next few days.
In the meantime, have you thought anymore about the “pic of the week” idea? I would love to send one or two through…
Nigel
Hi Nigel
Thanks for your apprieciation of our photography courses website and I look forward to hearing from you re a 1:1 day.
The pic of the week thing is way behind and I apologise for that. We’ve been ‘heads down’ for ages ironing out glitches with the site and getting the new ‘Wedding Photography Exposed’ course written. (It should be available in the new year)
To be completely honest - I’m not sure when a pic of the week gallery will be set up. It’ll happen one day, but for the time being it’s slipped down the list of priorities.
Thanks for sayinh ‘hello’. Hope you’ve had a fantastic Christmas - and will have a great New Year.
Mike
