Hello again,
As we said yesterday, this is our new blog, and we’re going to be putting some of the hints and tips that are on the main site into the blog instead, so look out for those. The other good thing about a blog is it can be interactive. So if any of you want to start posting comments about the courses you’ve bought, or commenting on our postings, this is the place to do it. We’d love to grow a forum of really useful information, and this is probably the starting point.
We’ve been asking for some of your photos too - what you’ve been achieving after having followed the course. We still need to investigate it, but we think you may be able to post them directly here when you make a comment, so that would be great.
More to find out about this blogging lark obviously, but we’ll let you know. By the way, the way to write a post is to click on the thing below which I think says ‘no comment’s’ at the moment.
looking forward to hearing from some of you,
Bye for now,

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackHi, I have just ’stumbled’ upon your website.
It looks good and easy to navigate. I have recently purchased my first Digital SLR (Canon EOS 400D), I am a complete beginner and hoping to learn how to get the best from my camera and your website looks like a good first step for me.
Thanks David, yes it is a good starting point. We’re doing a bit of a redesign over the weekend, so the home page will look a bit different, but we’re hoping it will still be easy to navigate around. Your starting place is probably going to be Digital Photography Exposed, as that is the perfect all round course for absolute DSLR beginners, but have a look at the free hints and tips page too. And finally thanks for being our first poster!

Hi Mike,
I recently completed the Digital Photography Exposed course. It was brilliant well written and very down to earth I am a complete beginner I have been out shooting photos since doing the course and I have noticed a big improvement in my photos. I even went to a local photographgy shop and took some samples in. I was very surprised because I was offered a chance to display my work in his shop. I am still looking into this as I am not sure where to start with copyright ect. please feel free to leave feedback on any tips on this. It was great to meet you in person Mike I really enjoyed the humour you entered into the course, and the down to earth approach to the technical stuff. I have still yet to purchase my DSLR Camera as I am saving for this at them moment. I am only using my Panasonic DMC-TZ3 it is a great camera which I love using. My passion though is to own a niklon dslr camera. Ok this is a bit longer than I intended to post I fully recomend the Digital Photography Exposed course to anyone interested in learning more about photography.
Thank you, Mike I look forward to meeting jayne.

Thanks Christine, for your fulsome praise! Sorry to be so long replying. Mike’s been really busy doing some personal one to one tuition and we’ve just been commissioned to do a load of films and pieces for DSLR user magazine which you’ll start to see in the August publication we think. We’re also still working on Wedding Photography Exposed, and we’ve just put up a page for anyone who wants to reserve a copy in advance. Hopefully we’ll be able to tell you more about that soon
Best wishes,
Jayne and Mike
Excellent blog and I love your courses, although I still have not had time to go through mine properly but your email has inspired me to set aside the time but I have got a question if you would not mind me imposing on your expertise. I currently have a fuji S9600 and want to change to either a Nikon D40 or D70 and wondered whether you would recommend which one or if that is the right choice, I am buying second hand as I do not have a huge budget and yes I know Cameras can be personal taste etc… but I think it is so important to get the right one, I take close up pictures and distance - landscapes, nature and lots of people pictures as I teach scrapbooking etc… so photo’s are very important to me, any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated and I will look out for your course in the New forest as I would be very interested in that.
Thanks
Traci x
